New Year Challenge: Read the Bible in 2009

Zack Blair – 2009-01-01 21:32:00

Hey everyone,

I’m so excited for 2009. As I have already started to work on some of my personal goals, I felt on my heart to challenge you on one this year. Reading another post from a church inspired me to go with what I felt in my heart.
Usually keeping my personal goals between me, Jesus, and Lauren, I never want anyone to know what I view are my “accomplishments;” therefore, I’m stalling to get to the point. You may laugh, but I really hate that I’m telling you this.
I’ve made the commitment to read the entire Bible in 6 months. Who’s coming with me? If not 6 months, then how about 12?
With the software that we have available now, the only worry is you. Click here to find the best online Bible application that I have found, which works for iPods, Blackberrys, computers, web-enabled phones, etc. You can choose the version of the Bible you’d like (ESV, NIV, NKJV…), and its reading plan is fantastically dispersed through the Law, Prophets, Wisdom Books, and New Testament. What is God going to speak to you through His Word this year, and what are you doing to hear Him?
May this year be the best of your life. May your actions this year reflect closeness with God, an understanding of Him and His nature, and blessing beyond measure. You’re value to Him is incalculable, and may you live 2009 and the rest of your life believing that truth.
